Abstract

Objetive: The aim was to carry out a systematic review of published articles on liver transplantation outcomes in patients with (LM-NET). Methods: We performed a systematic review according to the PRISMA guideline guidelines, using the MEDLINE (PubMed) and Scopus databases to identify published studies. Results: We included 2471 articles after the search, finally selecting 25. We collected data from 1005 patients, with a mean age of 47.9 years, most of them male. The most frequent locations of the primary tumor were the pancreas, followed by the small intestine. The disease-free survival was 25.3 months (14-31) and overall survival 38.5 months (32.5-57.1). Conclusions: Liver transplantation appears to provide a survival benefit in patients with diffuse LM-NET without extrahepatic disease in selected cases.

Keywords:  Liver transplant. Neuroendocrine tumor. Liver metastases.
